30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

At Commonwealth Accident Injury Law, PC, we are committed to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. We understand that choosing legal representation is an important decision, and we want you to feel confident in your choice to work with us.

Our Commitment to You

Commonwealth Accident Injury Law, PC offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee for clients who have entered into a fee agreement with our firm. If, within the first 30 days of engagement, you are not satisfied with our services for any reason, you may request a full refund of any fees or costs you have paid, subject to the terms outlined below.

Contingency Fee Arrangements

The majority of our personal injury cases are handled on a contingency fee basis. This means:

  • You pay no attorney fees unless we successfully recover compensation on your behalf.
  • If we do not win your case, you owe us nothing for attorney fees.
  • Our fee is a percentage of the recovery, which will be clearly stated in your fee agreement.

Because contingency fee clients do not pay upfront attorney fees, this refund policy primarily applies to any costs or expenses advanced on your behalf during the first 30 days of representation.

Hourly Fee and Flat Fee Arrangements

For matters handled on an hourly fee or flat fee basis, the following refund policy applies:

Within 30 Days of Engagement: If you terminate our representation within 30 days of signing the fee agreement, you are entitled to a full refund of any fees paid, minus reasonable compensation for work actually performed by the firm on your behalf.

After 30 Days: After the initial 30-day period, refunds will be calculated based on the work performed and services rendered. Any unearned portion of fees paid will be refunded to you within 14 business days of termination of representation.

Costs and Expenses

In addition to attorney fees, there may be costs and expenses associated with your case, such as:

  • Court filing fees
  • Service of process fees
  • Medical record retrieval costs
  • Expert witness fees
  • Deposition costs
  • Investigation expenses

If you terminate our representation within 30 days, any costs and expenses that have been advanced but not yet incurred may be refunded. Costs that have already been paid to third parties (such as court filing fees or medical records fees) are generally non-refundable.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund under this policy, please follow these steps:

  1. Submit a written request for termination of representation and refund to our office.
  2. Include your name, case number (if applicable), and the reason for your request.
  3. Send your request via mail, email, or deliver it in person to our office.

Upon receipt of your request, we will review your file and calculate any refund due within 14 business days. You will receive a detailed accounting of any work performed and costs incurred, along with your refund check.

Exceptions

This refund policy does not apply in the following circumstances:

  • Cases where the client terminates representation in bad faith or for the purpose of avoiding payment of fees legitimately earned.
  • Situations where the client has provided false or misleading information that materially affects the representation.
  • Cases where the firm has already achieved a settlement, verdict, or other recovery on behalf of the client.
  • Costs and expenses that have already been paid to third parties and cannot be recovered.

Our 30-day refund policy reflects our confidence that you will be satisfied with your decision to work with Commonwealth Accident Injury Law, PC.
